2009 - Competition
The project proposes and develops a logical distribution of the volumes. This approach, through the creation of a flexible structure, leave room for the development and adaptability of the complex.
The project is inspired by a series of suggestions.
It's clear the allusion to the violin key around which both the indoor and outdoor spaces revolve.
The city of music is born around an empty space, a round shaped square,
limited by edges that follow a spiral pattern.
The square serves as an entrance to the spaces of the complex: school, auditorium, commercial and
service spaces.
From the square, rays extend into the surrounding park. These are both guidelines for the volumes and load-bearing structures.
The school is located to the south, in continuity with the urban fabric. The functions are distributed within pavilions. Its roofing is made of a double-skin membrane composed of silicone-coated fiberglass fabric.
